The below videos will talk through the key documents you will be using as a Subject Mentor. The trainees portfolio of practice is far broader than these and so the other pages on this site will give contextual information about the course. This is exceptionally useful for your wider understating of the evidence trainees require to complete the programme.
As Subject Mentor, you are required to complete the appropriate paperwork and support the trainee in their training, and helping to develop their Subject Specific Pedagogy.
These key documents allow you to:
Know what your trainee is studying
Facilitate professional formative dialogue
Link theory to practice
Review a range of teaching practice and experience
Facilitate peer observation opportunities
This guidance document will provide more information about how to conduct these meetings.
They should be returned to the Trainee, The Tutor and The Professional Mentor for Review.
