Spelling Tests
Spelling tests are given every Friday. If we do not have school on a Friday, the test will be moved to a different day that week. Any changes will be communicated in advance so you’ll always know when to expect the test. Please check the weekly update via email or homework section for any schedule adjustments!

Vocabulary Words
Vocabulary words are different from spelling words and won’t be tested each week. Instead, students will show their understanding of the vocabulary as part of the reading comprehension test that goes along with our story every two weeks. This helps us see how they are using the words in context, not just memorizing them.
Unit 5 Weeks 1 & 2
citizenship: means "the position of belonging to a country, with rights and responsibilities."
continued: It goes on without stopping
daring: courageous and bold
horrified: you are filled with great fear or horror
participate: when you join with others or take part in something
proposed: to have suggested something to others for their consideration (Example: I proposed an place to eat as a family)
unfairness: not fair or honest
waver: to pause when being unsure

admit: when you confess to something
barter: you trade things for other things without using money
considered: you think carefully about something before making a decision
creation: something you made
humble: not big or important
magnificent: something is very beautiful and grand
payment: the amount you paid for something
reluctantly: being unwilling or have hesitation to do something
