What to Bring

What to Pack When Visiting The Polly Bemis Ranch

*Pack light, you really don't need a lot at the ranch. A small backpack for a weekend trip is plenty, 30L or less.

*Life Jackets for children under 12 years old must be provided by shareholder/guest

*Personal toiletries: shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, medications, lotion, sunscreen

*Clothing: bring layers, it can be cool in the morning, but warm in the afternoon. For spring and fall fishing, make sure to plan for all types of weather.  You may experience rain, wind, snow, or a combination of all three.

*Medical Devices: If a guest uses a medical device such as a CPAP, please bring battery packs.  There is no power at the ranch from midnight to 6am.

*Food: coffee, tea, flour, sugar, salt, pepper, and cooking oil are provided. If you are particular about coffee or need spices for your meals, you will want to pack them. Bring only the amount needed to cut down on the amount of weight you bring onto the boat. Each kitchen has a variety of pots, pans, bowls, plates, etc. There is no need to bring dishes, cups, or other cutlery. If you are a chef, or like to think of yourself as one, you may want to bring along your favorite knife.

*Beverages: bring your favorite beverages to enjoy. Bringing bottled water is unnecessary. The water at the ranch is clean and delicious. If you are someone who likes carrying a water bottle with you as you move about, just bring an empty bottle to fill at the ranch.

*Beach chairs and towels are available. Wagons are available for check out from the rec building to assist with transportation of gear to/from the beach.

*There are games, DVDs and some books at the ranch.

*Remember coolers need to be 45qt or less.  Limit dry goods to one dry box or 18 G Rubbermaid Bin. There is ice available at the ranch, there is no need to bring coolers with extra ice.

*Life Flight Memberships are highly encouraged for all guests/visitors to the ranch, but not required
