Substance & ALCOHOL RECOVERY

Resources

Reducing use of alcohol and substances or working to stay sober takes community as well as building and maintaining resources to support yourself every day.

It's a sign of STRENGTH to ask for help.

Check out some local and national resources below. Many are free and some require insurance or additional fees, such as inpatient and outpatient medical care.

You'll need to call your health insurance to determine which inpatient/outpatient programs you are eligible for admission.

LEARN ABOUT THE DANGERS OF FENTANYL- drugs may be laced with this deadly, synthetic opioid!

USING Opioids (prescription pain medication or heroin)?

Get Naloxone.

Naloxone (-AKA- Narcan) nasal spray is available for free (without prescription) on standing order in the state of Pennsylvania at your local pharmacy. Naloxone reverses an opioid overdose. Naloxone works by blocking the effects of opiates on the brain and by restoring breathing. Naloxone will only work if a person has opiates in their system.

Always call 911 to get medical help prior to or upon administering Naloxone.

Check out this short You Tube video that explains how to administer Naloxone.
