It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 3rd GCC International Research Conference on Global Citizenship Education (IRCon GCED). As Conference Convenor, I am honored to join our partners in bringing together an exceptional community of educators, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates who share a common commitment to advancing Global Citizenship Education as a transformative force for peace, sustainability, and international understanding.

This year's conference, "Academe as a Global Actor for Peace and Global Citizenship Education: Transformative Pathways for International Understanding through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED)," reflects the growing responsibility of higher education institutions to respond to global challenges through research, innovation, and meaningful collaboration. Over the course of this conference, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, present scholarly work, forge new partnerships, and engage in conversations that transcend borders and disciplines. It is our hope that every session will inspire fresh perspectives and meaningful actions that extend well beyond the conference itself.
