Kids' Chance Inc. of Illinois

Kids’ Chance Inc. of Illinois was founded with the goal of awarding academic college scholarships to deserving children of workers seriously injured or killed on the job.

We believe we can make a significant difference in the lives of all children affected by a workplace injury by helping them pursue and achieve their educational goals.

We anticipate continuing to award several scholarships to qualified scholars. Please help us by spreading the word about our organization and by encouraging potential candidates to apply. We accept application once per year starting with the Fall Semester. The deadline for applications is May 30. In addition to the IL Kids Chance scholarship, there is an opportunity for qualifying incoming freshman (or equivalent) to also be nominated for the Jim Hudak and Sally Silvia Scholarship Fund. This award is likely to be at or near $10,000 per academic year. Recipients of the Jim Hudak and Sally Silvia Scholarship Fund who successfully complete their course of study each year are also eligible for annual renewal upon submission of satisfactory academic progress and evidence of significant financial need. For this reason, it is very important to apply early but no later than May 30th to be considered for the state nomination.

Applications should be sent to:
