(Color Guard ONLY 7/28-8/1, Marching Band ONLY 8/4-8/8, Color Guard AND Marching Band 8/11-8/15)
The kids are going to have a GREAT time!. They will make new friends and they will gel together more than any other activity 9-12. I am also not saying it is going to be all fun and games. There are going to be some long, hot, tedious days. You will be going through the same conditions as the fall sports teams currently are. That's why I say 'THIS IS YOUR SPORT!' . Strength, endurance, stamina, consistency are all part of this activity.
Monday 7/28 - Color Guard camp begins with Mr. Niskala
Monday 8/4 - First and second year members are in at 9am along with section leaders and other student staff. This will be your training camp. If you are a returning member you are more than welcome to join us at 9 am. Returning members will be arriving at 1 pm. The day will end at 5. Tuesday - Friday all marching band members will be in from 9-5.
Monday 8/11 - Friday 8/15 - All Color Guard and Marching Band 9-5
Uniform Fittings - Tuesday, July 29 (9-12) Drumline vets only / Thursday, July 31 (9-3) ALL returning members / Monday, August 4 ALL new members
Pictures - Wednesday, August 6
SHOES - All marching band members must order marching band shoes - aka "Dinkles". An order link will be provided soon.
Lunches - Lunch will be 12:30 every day. The first week everyone needs to bring a lunch. The second week Chartwells will supply the lunch or you can bring your own. No one is allowed to leave the campus for lunch. Lunch can be brought to you but no one is allowed to leave. Lunches should contain light healthy foods like fruits, raw vegetables, gatorades (electrolytes). Please avoid anything peanut butter or any kind of nut as we have some people with nut allergies! Everyone must eat a solid breakfast prior to camp and eat a lunch! I don't want people passing out on me or sitting out because they feel sick in the heat because you didn't eat.
Hats - please wear some kind of head covering to keep the sun out of your face and off of your head...the sun will wear you down and tire you out the fastest.
Sneakers - you must wear a running shoe to camp with a substantial sole. No flip flops, slides, crocks, vans or converse. This goes for ALL season!!
What you need for the first day:
Instrument
Breakfast already eaten
Light lunch (no fast food or dairy please! remember you are going to be active in the heat.)
Sneakers
Headwear (hats, baseball caps, something...and avoid wearing black!)
Light clothing (shorts, T-shirts. Avoid BLACK and long sleeves)
Sunscreen!!!
Health forms (found on the home page of this site) (These are the health forms we use, not the athletic ones.)
$30 dry cleaning dues. (found on the home page of this site) (The uniforms must be dry cleaned, not washed like a jersey. We will dry clean the uniforms but we ask that you pay the $ to cover the cost. This is not in school budget)
Click on the above button to purchase one of our three new designs by June 27th and have it before the first football game! (Do NOT purchase a Tessalations t-shirt for your marching band / color guard child - they will receive this shirt as a gift from the Boosters!)
Senior night is being planned for all Fall Activities by the school on Friday October 24th, 2025!!!
- parents, family members, or guardians are allowed as escorts
- if a parent is not available to escort, a coach or administrator will escort you
- more information forthcoming
