Operations Team
Unlike many chapters, our chapter has an Operations Team, with a CEO reporting to the Board, and a COO reporting to the CEO.

Outreach
Includes sustainability, outreach to veterans, and opportunities to volunteer for social good, such as beach and trail clean ups.
IT
The internal systems needs of the chapter, as well as the external communications, are powered by our IT Team.
Marketing
Communicating chapter news and events to our members via newsletter, email, social media. Developing collateral for Chapter events.
Finance
Need to file an expense report for reimbursement? Need to pay for your team’s event or software licenses? Of course, they do the budget and pay the taxes too.
Professional Development
Each year, several great classes are produced, including Certification training for PMP, ACP and PgMP, courses in Agile and use of tools like MS Project. Also, monthly Evening Events featuring engaging speakers.

Membership
Serving Chapter members and recruiting new ones. Now conducting well-received monthly New Member Orientations.
Volunteer Management
Working in partnership with teams to place and onboard volunteers. Monitoring volunteer engagement and providing volunteer activities.
Mentorship
Started in 2019, this is an already large and successful program partnering mentees with mentors from Bay Area businesses. The innovative program uses the Everwise mentoring platform.
Partnerships
Partnership develops relationships with sponsoring organizations to underwrite the cost of large chapter events.
Inside a PMI-SFBAC Professional Development Class
This class is held at Golden Gate University, leveraging our Chapter's relationship with the institution.
The class is on Microsoft Azure Dev Ops tool. Khaled Turkmani, VP Professional Development, helps the instructor facilitate the class.
Khaled and Dhruti Joshi (PMI-SFBAC Mentorship Director) have provided coffee and bagels.
Khaled uses the Azure Dev Ops board feature to give the course intro.
While the instructor leads our small groups through the exercises, Khaled goes around the room helping us stay on track.
