Hidden Talents: I like to paint colorful pictures, and lately I've been into painting watercolor chickens. I know it's quirky. If you ask I'll show you a picture of one.

For the Birds (a Pixar Short), Remember the Titans, Monsters Inc.
Non-talent: I enjoy gardening but I'm not good at it. I like weeding around the plants I don't kill.
Dream Job: I'm in it
Dream Hobby: Learning all the names of plants and their special skills (e.g., oh this plant is called the blah-blah-blah and the petals are poisonous to mosquitoes so if you rub them on your fingers the bugs will leave you alone, stuff like that)
Dream Vacation: Hiking in Paradise on Mt. Rainier and then Kayaking in the San Juan Islands, or going to the Canadian Rockes and hiking/biking.
Favorite form of transportation: Walking, then biking. If I can't go by my own power then my favorite is a train or trolley.
Favorite Children's chapter book: Don't ask. Too difficult. I'd choose The Horse and His Boy if it wasn't racist.
Favorite class to teach: Math 348, Statistical Computing and Consulting, but I like them all for different reasons.
Favorite TV show: It used to be Veep and The West Wing together to sort of balance out the optimism and sarcasm, but then Veep just got a bit too crass for my humor. I also really like Heartland and Parks and Recreation. But lately I've fallen in love with The Chosen—especially the episodes in season 1 that showcase Matthew. I love that character. And the main character is pretty awesome too. ;)
