Deadlines:
April 1st - Declaration of Intent needs to be completed; application to MTC for CCP courses taken in the high schools
Mid-April - The Accuplacer will be offered at Pickerington Central on April 11th and at Pickerington North on April 12th; specific details will be sent to student PLSD emails.
To take courses at the high school:
Pick the courses you want in Infinite Campus
Apply to our primary college partner at this link (not needed if courses were taken with MTC last year)
Fill out the annual Declaration of Intent at this link (required by the State of Ohio by April 1st no matter what)
Follow up information - including placement testing requirements - will be emailed to the student's PLSD email
To take courses online or at a college campus:
If you haven't already done so, apply at the college you want to attend. Columbus State has many terrific options (see link to application above)
Fill out the annual Declaration of Intent (required by April 1st no matter what)
Follow up with Rachael Hanagan (rachael_hanagan@plsd.us) in late March
Note: High school IEPs and 504 plans do not automatically apply or transfer to college-level courses. This means the student, not the parents or high school, must self-identify and request accommodations directly from the college.
