Work in small groups or solo with a time-release shutter.
You will need two photos for this assignment:
Regular style portrait. Think classy and professional.
Dramatic portrait. Drama and mood are evident. A good pose really helps.
Step 1:
Write out 5 ideas of what you can do for a dramatic self-portrait. Brainstorm Boxes on plain paper. Upload a picture of your brainstorming here with your 2 photos.
Step 2:
Take a regular portrait of yourself for the Portrait Assignment. (Headshot only: only your head and shoulders should be in the frame of the photo.)
Start with IS0: 100, f/8 and 1/200 for your shutter speed. You may have to adjust your light.
Make sure to smile so you can learn to whiten teeth when we get to digital editing.
Take a Dramatic Portrait of yourself.
Make sure there is action or some sort of dramatic pose. That will make the Dramatic Portrait really look nice.
