In order to be scheduled for a late exam one of the following pieces of information must be true. Late exams ARE NOT scheduled because a student slept in, forgot about their exam, or just didn't show up. Late exams also are not scheduled if a student cannot log into the Bluebook testing app with their College Board log in information.
If one of the following applies a late exam can be scheduled - sometimes ahead of time, sometimes following the original exam date/time. Late test dates/times are set by the College Board and are non-negotiable.
A student is scheduled for two exams on the same day AND time. If this is the case, we will move on of the exams to the late exam window - which is typically the week following AP exams. Some students will have two exams in the same day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) - we will not reschedule an exam if they are at different times on the same day.
A student has testing accommodations and two tests in the same day. If the student has extended time for their exam(s) and has one in the morning and one in the afternoon, we will typically move the afternoon exam to the late testing window.
A student has a school sanctioned athletic, non-regular season, match/game/meet. If the athletic event is conference/sectional/district/regional/state competition scheduled at the same time as the AP exam, we will move the exam to the late testing window. We will not move the exam for a regular season event.
A student has a doctor's note that states they were ill or injured and could not attend school. A parent calling their student off sick does not allow a make up exam to be scheduled, there must be a doctor's note provided.
If a student misses an exam and it did not fit one of the reasons above, they will not have a late exam scheduled and will be charge a $40 unused exam fee. The $99 exam fee however will not be charged.
