Madame Scheidegger

(2020-2021)

About Me:

Just a little bit about myself: My name is Gina Scheidegger.

This is my 10th year teaching French, my 9th year teaching in Pickerington. A couple of facts about me: I live near Pickerington in Reynoldsburg. I have 2 daughters, Kaela and Alyssa, who are in college at OSU. My husband, Matt, graduated from OSU and works at OSU Medical Center. I also graduated from OSU, so we are sort of an OSU family! And my husband is a die-hard OSU fan! We are all animal lovers, and have 2 dogs.

Feel free to e-mail me at gina_scheidegger@plsd.us if you ever have any questions!

Education:

I attended a small college right of high school, and then returned later to earn a bachelor's degree in French from OSU. Then I worked toward my Masters in French, with a strong interest in Francophone literature and culture, and taught at OSU as a graduate teaching associate. Then I got my Masters in Foreign Language Education and am certified to teach French K-12 and CCP.

Just for fun:

I love traveling and seeing new people and places, and I really love the French language! I like to read and listen to audio books in French (especially mysteries). I also love animals and nature - and would have more than 2 dogs if my husband would let me bring more in! I enjoy spending time with my family, either relaxing or doing something adventurous. We just started kayaking recently, and of course the dogs had to join in! I love kayaking, because it's both peaceful and exciting. For me, there's nothing more serene, yet thrilling, than to see a majestic heron standing along the shore!
