Just a quick intro about myself: My name is Carolyn Hatcher.
I have taught Spanish & French since 2011, & I have been teaching in Pickerington since 2017. A couple of facts about me: I live here in Pickerington, I have 2 little girls (a 5 year old & a 2 year old).
I went to OU as an undergrad, double majoring in Spanish and French. I studied abroad in Toledo, Spain and Avignon, France my sophomore year of college. Then I got my Masters in Foreign Language Education from The Ohio State University and I am certified to teach Spanish and French K-12.
My favorite quote about World Language ed: "Je n'enseigne pas le français, j'enseigne la vie en français" (I don't teach French, I teach life in French).
From the way students interact with the language day to day to the way students are assessed, my goal is to teach my classes following this philosophy.
I love photography, cooking and eating new foods, reading, playing games, watching movies, and traveling with my husband, Tim, and my daughters Felicity and Addy. I adore meeting people from around the world, especially when I can speak their language!
