All paperwork should be turned in on a monthly basis. This will help us to better track your progress.
Seniors are required to have their service learning requirement complete by May 1st. Any seniors who do not have their Fr/So and Jr/Sr requirement complete by May 1st will not be allowed to attend Jr/Sr Prom or be allowed to graduate.
Sophomores are required to have half their service learning done by the end of first semester of sophomore year and the remainder of the requirements complete by the last day of school. Sophomores who do not complete the requirement will receive an "F" in service learning. Students with an "F" will be ineligible for extracurricular activities, parking and school dances.

Finally, our field trip season (both in-house and with the Plant Discovery Bus) is starting to begin! We are looking for volunteers to help lead group activities for our students. Our education team has done a phenomenal job teaching students about the wonders of plants; in 2025 alone, we saw nearly 2,500 in-house field trip students and over 4,500 Plant

LeClaire Parks & Rec. will need some volunteers on April 4th to help set over 16,000 eggs out, guide people to the right fields, help walk the Easter Bunny around and help clean up to make sure all eggs were picked up. if you want to work the full event that is great! Up With Families volunteer opportunity.

Up With Families is a volunteer-run organization that invites families with a young child with disabilities to come to a local hotel for a family weekend retreat. Volunteers are needed to serve as companions/caretakers for youth that will be attending. While the parents participate in programming to learn about community resources, the children are offered activities. The goal is to have two companion volunteers per one child. Youth companion volunteers help facilitate participation in the planned/scheduled youth activities, including art, t-shirt decorating, a magic show, music, parachute, toys/games, bowling, movie and swimming. Volunteers receive a t-shirt.
There is a morning shift, or an afternoon shift. Evening volunteers eat dinner with their child. Volunteers that select both shifts will be provided lunch. Up With Families is also in need of a few certified lifeguards to supervise scheduled swim times.

Bettendorf Parks and Recreation is always looking for reliable student volunteers ages 16 and up for their recreation programs and special events. Volunteers would most likely be working with children ages 5 – 12. Events include various youth sport clinics and leagues, specialty classes, and community events. Events typically take place indoors during the winter, outdoors during the summer, on weeknights and weekends, and vary in their number of hours required. Habitat for Humanity

Anyone who would like to volunteer with Habitat on their construction sites (new home builds, repair projects, or wheelchair ramp builds) have to be at least 16 years old (per OSHA law) and should attend a new volunteer orientation before volunteering. Welcome to Letters Against Depression. We are an organization that provides hope and support to those battling mental illness through the power of handwritten letters. We have over 5000 volunteers who have written over 30,000 letters that have personally impacted each one of our recipients lives. We have connected people from over 60 countries, being the voice of hope and support for every person of all ages.

To send hope and support to those battling depression and other mental illnesses through our free handwritten letters. Our letters are packed with the affirming messages “You are not alone” and that “You matter”!
