Our vision is to reestablish TEDx at Foothill (a student organized TedX public-speaking event that took place at Foothill a few years ago) by creating an official chapter dedicated to organizing impactful, student-led public speaking events. TEDx Talks are short presentations (under 18 minutes) by speakers sharing great ideas, which are unlike TED Talks, which are global, TEDx focuses on the local community. In addition to the TEDx-certified speakers who will inspire and educate our community, we will provide students with opportunities to develop their own public speaking skills through assemblies and local outreach. We will collaborate with our local middle schools and elementary schools to create a lasting platform for meaningful discussions and student-driven initiatives that align with TEDx’s mission.
