Back to School Night: TBD for Fairlands TK/K
During the first week of school, we will hold a “Back to School Night” for parents. Your child’s teacher will inform you of the classroom instruction program and procedures. Look for an email and instructions from your child's teacher the first week of school.
Meet and Greet: TBD for Fairlands TK/K
Students and families are invited to meet their teacher and check out their classroom in this fun, casual event. Students attend this event!
First Day of School: TBD
It's the first day of school! Plan to arrive to Fairlands on time and ready for a fun-filled first day of kindergarten.
Have your child at school 5 minutes before school starts.
Pick him/her up PROMPTLY AFTER DISMISSAL.
Ensure your Emergency/Release contacts in ParentVue stay up to date (you can add grandparents, trusted neighbors, etc).
Practice good nutrition and rest habits.
Make time for outdoor play.
Have your child’s clothing and belongings clearly labeled.
Don’t send toys or valuable items to school with your child unless the teacher approves it.
Read regularly with your child.
Show appreciation and give praise for the work he/she brings home.
On Fridays, check your child’s backpack for the Friday Folder (homework & announcements).
Stay informed by reading the Fairlands Flyer/PTA electronic newsletter, the school handbook and emails sent by the school. Attend PTA meetings, events, and Back to School Night. Stay Involved!!
