Texas Motor Speedway (for scrutineering, Media Morning, and the race)

The best time to visit is during Media Morning, when everyone will have access to the garage [location].  All other times, visitors without badges will be limited to the bleachers along the pit lane [approximate location].

Important! To prevent incurring a penalty for the team, all visitors must: 

1. Wear a full-brimmed hat (as soon as you exit your car!) 

2. Wear closed-toe shoes 

3. Avoid touching the pit wall (the pit wall is a waist-high concrete divider that separates the pit lane from the garages.  If you don’t know what this means, just ask when you arrive and we will be happy to show you) 

Only the South entrance will be open, so ignore Google Maps if it routes you through the North entrance. 

• From Frisco/Plano, take Hwy 121 South then 114 West to Texas Motor Speedway

• Turn Right on Labonte Ln (you should see “Event Entrance” signs to the garage) 

• Turn Left on Lone Star Cir  

• Turn Right on Allison Ln (if gates have not opened, wait in line at this intersection)

• Tell the booth attendant you are here for the Solar Car Challenge (flash your badge to for faster access) 

• Drive through the tunnel.  Allison Ln becomes Infield Dr.   

• Drive past the Garages on your left (Do NOT drive through/under the arches labeled "Texas Motor Speedway GARAGE").   

• Park anywhere North of the chainlink fence [see POV directions] 

Dallas/Fort Worth Marriott Hotel & Golf Club at Champions Circle (for workshops, banquets, and lodging)

Workshops, banquets, and meetings are located in the banquet rooms.  Turn left after entering the lobby; the banquet rooms are at the end of the hallway.  If you cannot find them, ask the front desk to direct you. 

Workshops: Bring a sweatshirt; the banquet rooms can get cold, even in the Summer. 

Banquets: You must have a banquet ticket to enter. 

Lodging: Check-in is at 4pm.  Check-out is 11am.
