About the Race

One of America's Top 10 Most Innovative Education Programs by Technology & Learning Magazine, the Solar Car Challenge brings high school teams from all over the country to race cars that run exclusively on solar energy.

It is hard to fully understand solar car racing without competing, but the video series below explains it as well as anything we have seen.  Note that this documentary is about the World Solar Challenge, a different even for universities and manufacturers.
