The Plainsboro Free Public Library Foundation is operated by an all-volunteer, community-based Board of Trustees. All trustees enthusiastically serve and are active donors to the Foundation:

The Board meets bi-monthly and sub-committee meetings are called as needed. The President (elected annually with a Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary), leads the Board of Trustees who, together, work in a collaborative manner to carry out the functions of the Foundation:
To work in strong partnership with Library Administration and Library Board of Trustees to provide meaningful financial support to enhance Library projects, programs, services, and facilities
To raise funds to support Library priorities
To promote community awareness
To cooperate and collaborate with Library support boards
To thoughtfully administer Foundation Endowment funds for the greatest impact
