The mission of the Foundation is to support projects, programs and services of the Plainsboro Free Public Library. The Foundation seeks to enhance municipal tax-based support through private fundraising from individuals, businesses, and corporations.
The Foundation was established in 2006. The Foundation raised money to supplement public funds for the construction of a new Library building. The successful capital campaign enabled the construction of the Library's current home located in Plainsboro Town Center.
The new building responded to the growth of the community and the information and technology demands placed upon the Library as the community’s information provider and community meeting place.
The Foundation transitioned in 2010 from its original mission as a capital campaign to support the Library’s vision as the community’s center for learning, connections, and discovery. The Foundation’s financial commitment will assure that your library will have:
Innovative programs for residents of all ages
Collections that respond to community needs and interests
A place that encourages learning, tinkering, and making
Quality service provided by dedicated staff
A facility to enhance and improve the quality of life in our community
