I will create a classroom environment in which all students are able to reach their maximum potential. I will approach students with a caring and empathetic attitude and see them as the human beings they are, first. I will encourage students to explore their world view, encouraging them to find not only what they believe in, but why they believe it as well.
In my classroom, we reflect the wise words of William S. Preston, Esq. and Theodore Logan: Be excellent to each other. We treat each other with grace and dignity, carry ourselves with integrity, and choose to do the right thing, even when it is difficult. By practicing these values, we prepare ourselves to build a better world.
I believe that the students of today are the catalyst for creating a better future. Too often, the youth have been sold down the river by older generations, resulting in a world where many of the adults in positions of power and influence demonstrate little to no values that point to a brighter future. Through investing in the youth of today, we can create a world where people are willing to see each other's differences and maintain mutual respect.
