Food & Drink Policy

• Food & drinks, with the exception of water, are NOT allowed in the dance or locker rooms.

Absence & Grades Policy

• For each day a student has an excused absence, the student will have one additional day upon returning to school to turn in the assignment. 

• Students receiving an unexcused absence will not have a grace period for deadlines.

• Assignments turned in late will receive a 10 point deduction per day.

• Grading Policy:

  • 75%, Tests/Quiz & Project Grades

  • 25%, Daily Grade: students start out with a 100 at the beginning of the week. The following infractions are deducted weekly, when applicable:

    • No participation -10

    • Not dressing out -15

    • Incorrect attire (per item) -5

    • Jewelry -5

    • Hair not pulled up -5

    • Chewing gum/food-10

    • Selectively participating -10

Illness & Injury Policy

• A guardian note may excuse the student from participation for ONE day. 

  • The note must be presented to the instructor BEFORE class begins. If you do not have a guardian's note- you will be required to participate. 

  • Excuse notes to sit out because of cramping will NOT be excepted. 

• A doctor's note is required if the student misses participation for 3 or more consecutive days. 

• Student must dress out to receive points even if sick/injured.

Electronic Devices Policy

• Electronic devices should be locked up in their locker for dance class. Devices should not be out during class, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher or with permission.
