Our Story

The award-winning Otto Middle School Bobcat Band is located in Plano ISD in Plano, TX and has been going strong since 2010. Middle school students in the Otto Band program are challenged to achieve musical excellence while developing leadership, teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

What truly sets our program apart is our integration into the vibrant Plano Eastside Band Family. From day one, our Eastside Bands work closely together, aligning our cultures and traditions to ensure a seamless, supportive transition as students grow. This unique collaboration lays the foundation for strong, supportive bonds that last throughout our students' seven-year band journey.

After their time as Bobcats, Otto students move on to attend high school band at either McMillen High School or Williams High School, before ultimately uniting at the nationally recognized Plano East Senior High School Band.

Through outstanding cross-campus instruction, engaging joint performances, and a unified band family, our students build confidence both on and off the stage. The Otto Bobcat Band takes pride in its tradition of excellence and is committed to inspiring every student to reach their full potential as musicians and leaders, from their first notes in middle school all the way to the graduation stage.
