Our private lesson faculty is comprised of highly qualified, elite musicians who are remarkably warm, encouraging, and genuinely great with middle schoolers. For just $25 per lesson, your child receives a personalized weekly roadmap tailored precisely to their unique strengths and goals. Whether they are a beginner building a confident foundation, an intermediate player bursting through a plateau, or an advanced musician preparing for solo competitions, our instructors provide the exact spark they need to thrive.
Investing in private lessons doesn't just elevate individual skills—it breathes vibrant energy into our entire band program. As individual students gain confidence and mastery, the overall sound of our ensemble reaches thrilling new heights, allowing us to perform more exciting and rewarding music together. To seamlessly fit your family's schedule, these once-a-week sessions are incredibly flexible and can be scheduled before school, after school, or even during their regular band class. Howdy! My name is Victoria Hartman. I have been private teaching since 2023 while completing my education at the University of North Texas. I have been trained by Kritsen L. Beene and Dr. Jung Choi, and have performed in various professional ensembles over my 10+ years as an oboist. My favorite ensembles are those that give back to the community, such as local churches and theaters. It is my honor to teach students professional attributes that will carry over into their futures, even outside of the oboe. I hope to instill a love of music into each of my students, empowering them to leave each lesson stronger than when they entered the practice room.
Hi! My name is Anthony Adario, and I am a professional bassoonist and educator. I have been performing professionally for a decade, and teaching private lessons for 8 years. I love that performing makes me a better teacher, and in turn, teaching makes me a better player. My favorite thing about teaching is that my students are traveling down the same path that I am: we are all just trying to get better at our instruments. I happen to be a little further along, so I’m able to use my experience to help them in their journeys. I currently hold the Principal Bassoon positions with the Las Colinas Symphony and the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestras. I also perform as a substitute with numerous other orchestras throughout Texas, including the Dallas Opera, Dallas Winds, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and others. In addition to teaching privately, I am also on faculty at East Texas A&M University, where I teach Applied Bassoon and History of Rock and Roll. I completed my Master of Music degree at UT Austin, and my undergrad at Northwestern University. I’m originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but feel right at home here in Texas!

Ms. Urban studied with renowned clarinetist Robert Marcellus and Clark Brody at Northwestern, and she studied with Frank Kowalsky during doctoral studies at Florida State University. Before moving to North Texas, Ms. Urban won a national audition for clarinetist with the Washington DC premiere military touring band under the command of the Pentagon, The United States Army Field Band. While in the Army Field Band, she earned an appointment as the high school clinician, enabling her to travel and bring her passion for teaching the clarinet to students and band directors across the country. As a clinician, she presented masterclasses in middle schools and high schools in North Carolina, Florida, Montana, North Dakota, and Texas. Additionally, she presented masterclasses and clarinet performances at the University of Texas Austin, Tennessee Tech University, Humboldt State University, Southeastern Louisiana State, and the University of Memphis. Ms. Urban currently teaches clarinet students in Wylie ISD and Plano ISD. An established and proficient instructor, her students have made the Texas 6A all region, all area, and all state bands. She has had numerous students in the all state bands and/or orchestras on the clarinet, bass clarinet and contrabass clarinet. Her students have gone on to major in music at distinguished schools, such as Southern Methodist University, DePaul University, The University of Texas- Austin, Texas Tech University, and Florida State University. Her goal as a teacher is to help each student thrive and hope they love playing the clarinet as much as she does! Ms. Urban has performed as a professional clarinetist with the Colorado Springs Symphony, the Tallahassee Symphony, and the Dallas Wind Symphony. She has recorded with the Dallas Wind Symphony on their CD’s “Garden of Dreams Music by David Maslanka” and “Lincolnshire Posy Music for Band by Percy Grainger”.
