Worms are a fact of life with ALL DOGS! We try and treat before it becomes an issue.
Pyrantel 1-2 times, once when you first get them (if not done before ) and once again in 2 weeks.
Fecal if needed. If after deworming you are still seeing soft stools or visible worms. Often worms are visible for the few days after deworming.
Important Notes
Deworming Kits can be picked up some of the supply houses, if you have a pup under 4 months old, contact your foster coordinator.
Ensure all dosages are accurate based on the puppy’s weight. Use the provided charts for medications like Panacur and Toltrazuril.
If you have any questions about administering a medication, consult your foster coordinator.
Only administer Droncit if approved by your foster coordinator and necessary due to flea exposure.
Monitor the puppy for any adverse reactions and report them immediately to the foster team.

Once you finish deworming, please take a picture of the schedule with your dates and send it to the Foster Team packleader@pipsrescue.org
Give the prevention dosage unless they have been diagnosed at the vet with Coccidia
Give for 3 consecutive Days
