Goodbye Burnout, Hello Wellness!

The Georgia Department of Education's Educator Support and Development Division is excited to host the "Goodbye Burnout, Hello Wellness" regional workshops. These workshops aim to improve educator retention and combat burnout by offering resources and strategies to enhance school climate. School and district leaders are encouraged to attend the full-day, interactive session from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a team or team member to maximize the benefits of the action planning workshop.  Click here to register today!

Exceptional Child Course

This online course serves as an introduction to educating exceptional children and youth. It focuses on the identification and best practices for teaching exceptional individuals. Participants will be provided with specific instructional strategies and resources to implement effective educational programs for students with disabilities. This course fulfills the state requirements for H.B. 671 for teachers in Georgia and is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).

Academic language development and supporting all students in a 3D Science Classroom 

Join the GaDOE Science team in a session about when to introduce vocabulary. Teachers will engage in strategies that make connections to different pedagogical aspects of language development. Teachers will apply their knowledge and design intentional scaffolds, which they will use to support students with interpretive and expressive skills of communication.
