The Pingry School's Peer Review Humanities Journal
The Parker Road Review aims to showcase the very best of The Pingry School's student humanities scholarship, while recalling that only through process do writers grow over time and that we never stop growing when we embrace the process. The journal's inspiration and namesake is The Pingry School's Parker Road campus located in Elizabeth, New Jersey and in operation from 1893 to1953. Just as Parker Road was neither the first nor the last home to The Pingry School, so this journal acknowledges the dynamic and lifelong learning of our student writers. Where we start is not always where we end up.
Selected papers undergo a process of peer review, the highest standard for academic publication. Peer review encourages revision and collaboration while challenging students to develop intellectually engaging and sophisticated prose.
