Project collaborators to help address the severity of tipping points in the kelp forest ecosystems. The collaborators have come up with a list of ways to effectively manage ecosystems that reach tipping points like the kelp forest.
Scientists and conservationists are working towards Sea Otter recovery as well as general research on water quality and biodiversity of the ecosystem. The Monterey Bay Sea Otter Program has been successfully running for almost thirty years, and has conducted thorough research on how to maintain and preserve marine life for Sea Otters in the Kelp Forests. These projects also help identify what specific human and natural impacts are causing the ecosystem to collapse so they can help prevent it going forward.
