Description: In a group of 4 or five, build the tallest structure that is sturdy and stays up for at least 1 minute. The structure is built solely on straws and 2ft of masking tape. It must stand alone, and the only thing that it touches is the floor.
Brainstorm: Our group had the idea of connecting straws without using tape to make a base and then building off of that to make a long tower.
Procedure: So first we made the triangle-shaped base and tape it to the floor. once we made that, we built off of the base using long strings of straws again without using tape. we kept adding and adding and balancing the wight until we found the hight that we ended with.
SOUL Reflections:
S- Strength: We did very well with communicating with each other
O- Opportunity: We saved our tape by not using it other than taping it to the floor, and connecting the straw towers
U- Understand: We learned that to have the tower stay up, you have ti balance the weight evenly
L- Limitation: 2ft of tape was a little hard

I- Insightful Critical Thinkers: We thought out each step before attempting to build
S- Self-motivated: We helped each other and listened to their ideas while not giving up
