Description: In a group of 4 or 5, build the tallest structure that is sturdy and stays up for at least 1 minute. The structure is built solely on straws and 2 ft of masking tape. It must stand alone, and the only thing that it touches is the floor.
Brainstorm: One person in our group had an idea to start the tower by making a cube structure from the base. Later on, I had the idea to interlock a lot a straws together to make one really long straw, to add some much needed height.
Procedure: We started building the base being taping straws
SOUL Reflection:
S: Strength of work: The structure we built had a very strong base and the top added extra height
O: Opportunities: We could have improved it by adding more base structure, which would make it stronger, and it could mean that more height could be added (Even though we won for height)
U: Understanding: I learned that for in the future, the base needs to be much strongerÂ

C: I was being a clear communicator throughout this project. I helped people with ideas and communicated my thoughts on the project.
