Tallest Structure

Project Description: In a group of 4 or 5, build the tallest structure that is sturdy and stays up for at least 1 minute. The structure is built solely on straws and 2ft of masking tape. It must stand alone, and the only thing that it touches is the floor.

Brainstorm: Our group thought to make a sturdy base to hold it up, and then we would add something to make it have height, while still being stable.

Procedure: We first got straws, and took the tape that was on it off and picked out the best straws. Jayden then started to make a triangular base, while others but lots of straws together. When we were running out of time, we stopped making the base and added the long line of straws.

SOUL Reflections: Our strength was that we all were able to work together well. We had the opportunity to try and make the tallest tower, and we succeeded. We all understood what we had to do for the project. Our limitation was that not all the straws were the same length, and some were bendy, and we didn't have enough paper. We worked hard together, and managed to accomplish.
