Description:Using the microbits rotating servo mechanism, 3d printing, and laser cutting, we created a candy dispenser that dispenses 3-5skittles at a time.
Brainstorm:We decided our measurements of 6"x6"x3.5". We planned to have two regular walls and one with a hole for the microbit to servo wire.
Procedure
1: First we wanted to print the hatch which would be atached to the micorbit servo motor to dispense the skittles! Sadly after we printed it the servo motor did not fit inside the 3-d model, but we strived on mistakes happen.
2: As you can see on the left hand side we just atached a small wood cube to act as a latch since the first latch we tried was too small. As you can see on our right hand side the wood box is still being put together! The next procedure will be the end result!
3: The final product!
SOUL and WISCR reflections:
S: The strength that I had in this project was definitly the process of work we had we were always consistent in getting something done!
O: This was a great oppurtunity to learn how to get better at 3-d printing and laser cutting and also just be better group mates.
U: I had a better understanding of probably teamwork because by the end of our project we were working amazingly with each other.
L: I learned how to learn better with my teacher when she was explaining the project I actually had a good idea of what to do and make.
WISCR: Probably the 2 letters that I would pick is the I and W because we had to think a lot and create a hatch and for the W when we failed we were well rounded about it and moved on!
