Description: Design and create two animal figurines utilizing recycled bottle corks. We designed the animals on tinkerCAD and printed them in the 3D printers.
Brainstorm: At first I wanted to design an elephant, but as I started working on it, I realized that it may take me too long. I ended up deciding to make a bunny and a pig because I thought that I would be able to finish them in time. As I thought about it more, I realized that I have a story behind a pig and a bunny. For a long time when I was younger, my favorite animal was a bunny and my one of my best friends' favorite animal was a pig.
Procedure:
Pick out two corks and use a caliber to measure their diameters
Design the rings for the corks on tinkerCAD and print them out

Prototype 1 for bunny front: It turned out pretty well, but the ear was not strong enough and it broke.
Prototype 1 for bunny back: Turned out well, it fit and nothing broke.
Prototype 1 for pig front: I measured the cork wrong because it didn't fit the cork and I had to print again.
Prototype 1 for pig back: Turned out well, it fit and I had no issues with it.
Prototype 2 for pig front: This one turned out better, it fits the cork.
Bunny finished product-I tried to glue the ear back on, but it still doesn't stay very well.

SOUL Reflection
S-Strength of work:
My cork pals turned out pretty well. After the ear broke, everything else was pretty strong and didn't break.
O-Opportunities to improve your project:
One way I could have improved my project was making the ears on the bunny sturdier. One ear broke because it wasn't strong enough.
U-Understanding-what you learned through this project:
I learned easier ways to create pieces, especially when I needed to align.
L-Limitations encountered in this project:
I didn't have any limitations, I think besides the ear of my bunny falling off, and having to reprint the front of my pig, my project went pretty smoothly.
WISCR:
I think I showed the I in WISCR, insightful and critical thinker, because I put a lot of thought into my project to make sure it would turn out well.
I think I also displayed the C in WISCR, clear communicator, because I communicated clearly when I needed help.
