Name Tag
Our first TinkerCAD project was to create a name tag for ourselves. We started by just making a simple box, then added the text and the ring. Then, we learned how to export it into FlashDrive. From there, we exported it into a USB, which we used to print it.
2. Smart Duplication and Mandala
Today we learned how to use smart duplication on TinkerCAD.
Exercise A: The first exercise we did was to create a flat rectangle, select it, and then press command D, for duplicate. Then, we would drag the duplicate and bring it over a little bit and make the measurements a bit smaller. After that, we just click command D multiple times, which automatically repeats the first two steps. In the end, it looked like this:
Exercise B: The next exercise was to create a long and skinny rectangle. We would press command D to duplicate it, then with the duplicate shape, we would bring it up and rotate it slightly. Then, we pressed command D again multiple times, and it turned out like a spiral staircase.
Exercise C: For the next exercise, we did something similar to Exercise B, except we started out with an oval shape. Then, we pressed Command D and with the duplicate shape, we rotated it a bit and brought it to the side. Then, we continued to press Command D to create a flower-like shape. Then, I added a circle in the middle just to make it look more like a flower.
Exercise D (Mandala):
For this next exercise, we were instructed to combine all the skills we learned in Smart Duplication to create a mandala.
