Description: We were assigned to create two pages by writing HTML code. One of the pages was an "All About Me" page, and the second page was a "More About Me" page. We were required to have at least one image on each page, at least two relative links, which brings us to another website that we created, and at least two absolute links, which brings us to a different website that we didn't create. We were also required to have one image that also served as a hyperlink. The teacher challenged us to also include other CSS elements, such as border, font, font size, bold, italic, underlined, background color, and color.
Procedure: We started by working on page one, the All About Me page, which is where I talked about my hobbies and family. Then I added the titles, paragraphs, and hyperlinks to our websites. After that, I experimented with different fonts, font sizes, and colors. I settled on a light pink color for the background and purple for the text. Then we added our images, and the images that I added were a performing arts image, a sports image, and a Pinewood logo, which was also a hyperlink that would lead me to the Pinewood website. I also had a relative link that would lead me to the More About Me page. After finishing our All About Me page, we moved on to the More About Me page, where I talked about my classes and extracurriculars. Like before, we started with the content then focused on styling and images. I used the same colors and fonts as the first page. The images I used for the second page were a piano picture and a picture of a volleyball. I also added an absolute link that lead me to my club volleyball website and a relative link that lead me back to my All About Me page.
Reflection:
S: What you did well: Something that I think I did very well was getting all my work done on time and making my pages very visually attractive.
O: What I could do better: Something that I could've done better was maybe making the images a big smaller.
U: What I learned: I learned how to write HTML and CSS code. I learned that you have to be very careful when writing this, because one typo can cause your whole website to not work.
L: What kept me from doing my best: Something that kept me from doing my best was some bugs in my code while I was working on my project. Sometimes, my content wouldn't show up, so I realized that I was missing something like a quotation mark or a semicolon.
WISCR Reflection: I think that the WISCR traits that best represented me during this project was I (insightful and critical thinkers), because I was always trying to find things I could improve, and S (Self-Motivated) because I never gave up and strived to do my very best.
Final Product: These are the final products of my websites! Overall, I'm really happy about how it turned out!
