Color Guard

This yearlong course introduces students to the “sport of the arts” by combining dance, movement, and equipment skills (flag, rifle, etc.) to create choreographed routines. This performance-based class emphasizes fundamental techniques, coordination, and teamwork and serves as a preparatory feeder program for the high school marching band and winter guard programs. Students are expected to wear approved PE attire and athletic or running shoes.

The Conservatory Class Fee covers equipment for class use, Conservatory Coaches, and additional program expenses.

**All levels of Color Guard will have the option to fundraise through the Cadence Band Boosters. Fundraising opportunities are available to assist with color guard related program fees and trip fees. Class fees and all deporits are not payable through fundraising. Sibling discounts, scholarship opportunities, and payment plans are available.**

Students and their families should complete the Academic Plan & Elective Request Form and select the desired color guard class as their first choice. These forms are available on our school website.
