Elite Color Guard is for our high school students with color guard experience in either Workshop and/or Ensemble. If you are looking to learn tricks, work with guest choreographers, travel, and experience everything the color guard world has to offer, then this is the team for you. These performers will travel out of Nevada for both Marching Band and Winter Guard, and will compete at the highest levels both locally and nationally. Students will be expected to attend all spring/summer training days, band camp, and after school rehearsals. The Marching Band performs at all home football games and weekend competitions September-November.Â
All Elite members will participate in the Elite Winter Guard. This team will have their own competitive show with costumes, flags, props, etc. and will work with guest designers, choreographers, and clinicians to set students up for success, and provide new trainings and techniques. Practices are after school 2-3 days per week, some Saturday rehearsals, and weekend choreography camps in December/January.
This group is for students who want to make color guard their priority sport/activity. Given the length of our competitive seasons, it can be difficult to manage multiple activities and commitments. Please make sure you are fully aware of all competition dates and expectations prior to committing to this team. Any and all absences must be communicated in writing, ahead of time. Students who miss multiple rehearsals or performances may lose their position on this team.
