Penny Boat Challenge

For the Penny Boat challenge, we put a hole near the back of the boat with high walls so water will not seep into the deck of the boat. We also have a roof at the top to hold more pennies in case the boat fills up.

Testing the boat

Here are some photos of the boat in water being tested out. We didn't have pennies, so we improvised and used nuts. We assumed that the weight of one nut was about the weight of three pennies. Using this information, our penny bout held 21 pennies.
