Staff Dress Code!
All Staff
Staff are held to a higher standard than campers.
Hair Color: Must be a natural color.
Shoes: Shoe guidelines vary camp-to-camp – at Director discretion.
Piercings: No distracting body piercings (per the director's discretion). Consult The Way for more on piercings.
Tattoos: Should be covered with clothes, sleeves, a skin-safe tape, shooters sleeve, etc. wherever possible.
If visible and commented on by campers, staff should "play them down" (to avoid creating a potential wedge between a parent and child).
Female Staff
Fit & Revealing: No tight-fitting or revealing clothing. Midriffs must always be covered.
Straps & Tops:
Tank tops must have 2-inch wide straps. No spaghetti straps (unless a non-tight t-shirt is worn underneath).
Bra straps should not be showing.
No open back tops, gaping sleeveless shirts, or loose and revealing necklines.
No "lampshading" (shorts must be visible under shirts).
Shorts/Skirts/Dresses: No “short-shorts”, tennis skirts, or short dresses.
Shorts must be no shorter than knuckle-length.
Shorts may not be rolled or have words across the "watermelon".
Water Activities:
Staff at All Camps: A modest one-piece swimsuit with shorts must be worn. A shirt should be worn when walking to or leaving the pool or lake area.
Friday “Nice Nights”: All guidelines apply to "dress up" nights or other occasions. No overtly revealing backs.
Male Staff
Shirts:
V-neck, polos, and button-down shirts should be shallow, not deep.
Sleeveless shirts must have sides and not be cut open all the way down the ribcage.
No tank tops or sleeveless shirts at meals.
Guys can go without shirts during certain activities (per Director approval) but must put shirts back on when those activities end. A shirt should be worn when walking to or leaving the pool or lake.
Shorts: Should be no shorter than a hand-length above the knee.
Hair: Must be collar length or shorter, and bangs must be off the eyebrows and tops of ears.
Facial Hair: All male staff at all camps must “clean shave” on Saturdays and Sundays before interacting with parents.
Clean shaven means a razor touched your face on these mornings and there is no visible facial hair or stubbles on cheeks, chin, neck, upper lip, etc.
Piercings: No body piercings or earrings for male staffers, unless approved by the Director.
