This elective course supports students grades 10-12 who are interested in learning using project based learning. During Quarters 1 and 2, students are introduced to 3D printers and laser cutters. We currently have access to over 10 Dremel 3D45 3D printers, and 2 different laser cutters. Additionally, student's will learn basic 2D AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator software for their project designs.
During Quarters 3 and 4, students are introduced to basic draw and block coding using spheros, then advance onto dual motor robots using our REV EDU robots. Students will also receive an online basic Universal Robotic arm certification from the UR website. Students will learn how to code a Universal Robotic arm, and teach it how to draw using waypoints.

Point System: The higher the points, the more it influences the grade. Projects will have the most points, followed by practice and skilled assignments.
How Grades are calculated
60% Projects (2-3 per Quarter)
30% Classwork (Practice Skills)
10% participation (Do Now’s)
MAKE-UP WORK:
Make-up work is accepted ONLY for excused absences.
