PCDC did not receive funding from the LGD for 2025. After lengthy discussion it was proposed to change the by-law describing the composition of the Board. The new by-law, passed at the AGM held on April 22, 2025, removed the requirement for town councillors to be on the Board (but does not preclude having one councillor or a town representative on the Board). The by-law continues to state that the minimum number of Directors is four and the maximum is 11.
The Board is actively recruiting more Directors; as of June 2025 there are four. With no paid staff, the Board is narrowing its focus, considering that its mandate may be to attract residents to Pinawa and to encourage more residential development. First, the desire is to bolster the Board, and to get more input.
The Board continues to meet on a monthly basis. The Board has decided to direct its efforts to one project - updating the billboards on Highway 11 - with the funds that remain in PCDC at this time.

The PCDC's third quarterly progress report provides an overview of the Summer 2024 tourism community planning sessions, their outcomes, and the alignment of the community-based action plans with PCDC Strategic Priorities. It also provides a summary of the feedback from community members who participated in the sessions.
The Pinawa Wayfinding Project is now complete. Between November 2021 and November 2024, the Pinawa CDC contracted with Stephanie Voyce (landscape architect) and Shape Industries (fabricator) to design and manufacture 34 signs marking Pinawa’s points of interest, the shopping district, the beach, and other amenities.
