Professional Judgement 101 Training Workshop

Designed for financial aid professionals new to the field, this Financial Aid 101 pre-conference

workshop provides a foundational introduction to Professional Judgment. Topics include legal

authority and institutional discretion, eligibility and limits, Cost of Attendance appeals, income

and financial circumstance reviews, dependency overrides and unusual household situations,

SAP considerations, and hands-on case studies.

Participants will leave with increased confidence in applying Professional Judgment within

federal regulations and true-to-life-scenarios. A certificate of completion will be provided to all

attendees for this intense four-hour training experience. Parking is free at the Pima CC campus

for this pre-conference event.
