The principals and staff at Pierz Healy High School are focusing their efforts on communication this year. We strongly believe in the power of teamwork, and we know a strong partnership between the school and our families is a key factor in the success of students. Below is the outline of our communication plan with you this year:
We will do our best to enter assignments into Synergy (our grading platform that you should have access to) on the day they are assigned. A due date should also be added into the assignment details in Synergy. If teachers are using a different but similar “system” they should be communicating that with you.
Gradebooks will be updated at least once every 2 weeks.
Communication with families from teachers should happen at least once per month (newsletter, progress reports, etc.) .
If you are not signed up to access Synergy, you should contact the school. It will allow you to view your students grades online at anytime. As always, if you need to talk to a teacher or an administrator about anything else, please feel free to give us a call or reach out via email. We look forward to partnering with you in your child's education!
At Pierz Healy High School, we are proud to partner with educators, counselors, higher education institutions, area businesses, and the Sourcewell Career Pathways program to prepare students for college and careers. Our team is building data-informed systems that support each student through personalized planning, career exploration, job shadowing, and internships.
A key part of this work is SchooLinks, an innovative platform that helps students design their future. With tools for career exploration, college matching, scholarship searches, application tracking, and resume building, SchooLinks empowers students to take ownership of their goals and make informed decisions.
Together, we are committed to providing the guidance, resources, and real-world connections students need to pursue their passions with confidence.
Our first Pioneer Pathways day is Wednesday, October 15th. We will be providing more information about how you can claim your student's account and partner with us after this date. Until then, learn more about School Links here: - Introduction to SchooLinks Video
A Portrait of a Graduate is our community’s vision for what every Pierz Healy student should know and be able to do before graduation. This framework will guide how we prepare students—not only with strong academics, but also with essential skills like critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
We want YOUR input to help shape this vision. What skills and mindsets do you believe our students need to thrive in today’s world and tomorrow’s opportunities?
👉 Please take a few minutes to complete our survey HERE. Your feedback will directly influence the priorities we set for our graduates.
Together, we can create a Portrait of a Graduate that reflects our community’s values and prepares our students for success.
Friday, October 3 - School-wide MCA Celebration
Due to our outstanding performance on the MCA tests in Spring, 2025, Healy is taking the afternoon of Friday, October 3, to celebrate with students. We will have a number of fun activities for our students to participate in and HAVE FUN! We will be running an Early Release schedule that day so that students can go to all their classes and then have fun for a little over an hour before they go home at 3:15. We hope everyone stays to have a fun time. Our school staff are very much looking forward to this event.
Tuesday, October 7 - Guest Speaker - Terrence Talley
In collaboration with Father Pierz School of Religion, Holy Trinity, and Pioneer, we are hosting guest speaker, Terrence Talley. Terrence's mission is to give students hope and to empower them to give hope to others. You can learn more about Terrence and his messaging at his website here.
