GRADE: 7th grade Special Education-Math and Science

Hi, my name is Coach Robert Mitchell and I teach special education for 7th grade math and science. My job is to provide individual assistance to student in learning math and science as well as teach my students the importance of being a great person and future citizen as they prepare for high school and adulthood.

I recently moved to the area to rejoin my family in nearby Cherokee County. I love animals, gardening, golf, football, and of course, baseball. I have one daughter that lives in Jacksonville, Florida, that works with children that are hospitalized and one daughter that is at Georgia Southern University learning how to be a special education teacher.

Prior to working in education I was in hotel management and had many exciting moments with celebrities like President Ronald Reagan, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, Jimmy Buffett, Alabama, Lionel Richie, Boy George, Dr. John, Diana Ross, etc. This experience has taught me that everyone is special and deserves to be treated well. I work for my students as hard as I would my own children and take pride in making sure they learn that they, too, are someone special.
