My name is Amanda Thrasher and I have been a teacher in Pickens County since 2013. I have worked in both Jasper Elementary and Harmony Elementary Schools teaching Reading and Math for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Before moving to Pickens, I taught Math and Science at Crawford County Middle School in Middle Georgia.

My family and I have loved living in Pickens County. The community is open, friendly, and it well centered around families. Our choice to live in Pickens was mostly based on the school system and what it had to offer our 4 children in academic opportunities, fine arts, and extracurricular activities.

I am really excited to have this opportunity to work with my former students again. I am looking forward to seeing how they have grown and to help prepare them for the next phase of their education. It is going to be a great year!!!!
