The 2018-2019 school year will be Mrs. Boehm's tenth year of teaching, and her fourth at PHS where she is the director of the choral and theatre departments. She is a native of Pickens County and an alumnus of Pickens High School.
Mrs. Boehm Graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, where she studied Arts in Education and obtained a Master of Education degree. Prior to her graduate studies, Mrs. Boehm taught music at P.S. 8M The Luis Belliard School in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. Her undergraduate degree is in Music Education where she graduated with honors from New York University.
Mrs. Boehm also previously served as the enrichment coordinator, music teacher (general, choral, and band), and connections team lead at Cherokee Charter Academy, where she taught for four years.
In her free time, Mrs. Boehm enjoys traveling and spending time with her son Bennett, her husband Marc, and her dog Maizy. She has also enjoyed singing in the alto section of the Cherokee Chorale, performing as the principal clarinet of the Georgia Wind Symphony, and serving on the board of the former Sharptop Arts Association.
