Mrs. Towery is the Art Instructor at Pickens High School. The 2018-2019 school year is her 20th year teaching art and her fifth year at PHS. Previously, Mrs. Towery was the art teacher at R. M. Moore Elementary School in Waleska, GA from 1999 - 2014.

Mrs. Towery is a 1991 graduate of Pickens High School. She studied art at Reinhardt University, where she earned an A.F.A. in Art. Mrs. Towery continued her education at Shorter University and received a B. F. A. in Art.

After working in the art field for two years, Mrs. Towery found her calling to be teaching. She went to Kennesaw State University where she earned a B. S. Degree in Art Education.

Mrs. Towery has been happily married to her husband Joe for 21 years. They have two sons, Mack who is 17, and Luke, 14.
