Welcome to the JMS Computer lab. I look forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the school year.

It is my goal to engage the students in learning vital skills that will assist them in their everyday lives throughout school and into adulthood. The assignments for Computer Class will be completed using Google Classroom. Participating in these assignments will ensure a good grade in our class. I will make certain that your child has access to these assignments during school. If your child is absent, he/she can access my Google Classroom online and see the assignments from home. Most all assignments will be completed during class time and homework will be a rarity.

About Ms. Cowart:

I came to teaching later in life. I graduated from Georgia State University and have many years of business experience from my pre teaching employment years. I began my teaching career with Appalachian Technical College in 2000 where I maintained a dual curriculum at the high school level for two years. After a stint in the office at Jasper Methodist Church, I moved to the elementary school level at Harmony Elementary where I served as the Computer Lab Para for six years. I have had the pleasure of teaching Business Computer Science at Jasper Middle School for the last four years. I am the proud parent of Caleb and Katie Cowart. I have an adorable puppy named Anna Beth and a mischievous cat named Jazz. I have recently acquired an outdoor kitty named Hobo who has decided he lives at my house. My hobbies include PIYO, photography, water color, and reading.
