Welcome to my page! I am so excited about the opportunity to offer Agriculture Education at Jasper Middle School. I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you and supporting you in your reaching your goals in this program. I hope that you will get involved in FFA and make this an meaningful fun learning experience.
I would like to share a little about myself so that you can get to know me. I was born and raised in Jasper, Georgia. I graduated from PHS in 2003, and then attended Dalton State College where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have since added middle school math and science certifications, ESOL endorsement, gifted certification, and working to complete Ag Ed certification within the month.
After graduating, I began teaching 4th grade at Tate Elementary. I then moved to Harmony Elementary where I taught 1st and 4th grade. For the past five years, I have been teaching at PCMS in 6th and 7th grades in the areas of math and science. This year will be my 11th year teaching.
Outside of work, I am blessed to be a wife and mother. My husband of 10 year, Zachary Waters, is an auctioneer and has his own auction business. I work there some evening with him. We have three wonderful children Addi is 9, Lauren is 6, and our youngest, Owen is two.
We live on a small farm and have a variety of animal including a pony, donkeys, goats, sheep and a dog named Stella. My daughters are involved in livestock showing, and my little boy pretends he does too. My family is very excited about my opportunity to begin an ag program at JMS next year. I am sure you will see them around if you get involved in FFA opportunities outside the classroom.
